Jon Perdue is the director of Latin America Programs at the Fund For American Studies. Perdue began working in Latin America in the 1990s as a consultant to U.S. companies working in the region, and to U.S. and Latin American think tanks. Perdue’s articles have been published nationally and internationally, in both English and Spanish. His work can be seen in Investors Business Daily, Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Journal of International Security Affairs, among others, as well as various newspapers in Latin America.
Perdue serves on the Board of Advisors of the Chilean think tank Instituto Democracia y Mercado, and on the Policy and Economics Council of the Gerson Lehrman Group of New York. He received the International Young Leader Award in Buenos Aires, Argentina in 2009 and the Global Leadership Award in London, England in 2010.
Perdue is a native of Georgia, where he graduated from North Georgia Military College and State University with a degree in Finance.
